How to Increase Your Blog’s Conversion Rate Without Doing Loads of Work

Blogging is much more than how many people you are able to attract towards your site. But traffic is often paid too much attention to. A blogger should not only focus on getting traffic to his or her site. A successful blogger makes his viewers his clients, subscribers and buyers.

1.Less options: In order to improve your blog’s conversion rates, the side bar is a suitable place. Some blogs use their side bars for all kinds of things. They have a widget with the display of the current date, archive, categories, tags and other plug-ins. But most of these do not serve much purpose. Your side bar should have less number of options because the viewer will be confused by a crowded sidebar. He will not be in a position to decide which one to choose. A blogger should consider subscription form, author bio, popular posts widget and banner ads or affiliate products he promotes. A simple side bar would invite huge traffic which would eventually become subscribers, clients and buyers.

2.Pop-ups: A general notion is that pop-ups are intrusive. They are intrusive when you want something loaded in Google and a pop-up appears suddenly on the screen blocking the things you badly need on the screen. The truth is that most pop-ups can be configured. There is an option in the settings of plug-in whereby you can choose when you want the pop-up activated. This reduces the discomfort you undergo when pop-ups block the information you so much wanted.

3.Dynamic widgets: Consider a blogger promoting a product as an affiliate. When a visitor buys that product we say a successful conversion happened. Affiliate marketing can be increased by placing banners on a sidebar. A static widget does not do any good for the blogger. A blogger must make sure that his resources are competent enough to meet the visitor’s requirements.

4.Faster blog: Though loading speed of a blog is not directly related to the conversion rates, conversion rates can go up by a faster-loading blog. Bounce rates go high because of slow loading times of blogs. Most of the visitors of blogs do not want to wait for a slow-loading blog, but they prefer to skip it and go to some other faster-loading blogs. Therefore, the loading speed of a blog is an important criterion which helps to attract a wider range of visitors. If the blogs are known to the visitors beforehand, the case is different. They might want to wait for that particular blog to load, otherwise chances are less that they will wait for that slow-loading blog.

In order to increase the conversion rates of blogs a blogger has to consider the placement of his opt-in forms and he has to prioritize his call to actions. A blogger should also have the right widgets display at the right time.

Three (3) Quick Tips In Interacting With Your Favorite Celebrity

Suppose you’re in a bookstore browsing for the newest paperback of the author you admire the most. Or you happen to be strolling in a music store, checking out the top songs in the billboard charts. Out of nowhere, you spot your favorite celebrity walking in, how would you react?

How To Act Naturally In Front Of Your Favorite Celebrity

It’s understandable to feel giddy and excited. After all, it’s not everyday that you get to be in close contact with a local star that you see only in movies, concerts, meet-and-greet affairs and conventions. The trick then is to act as naturally as possible without inviting the attention of the people around you. After all, you would want him or her to stay longer, wouldn’t you? It will not happen if you react like a crazy fan.

Here are three (3) quick tips to curb your enthusiasm and make the experience more memorable on your end.

1.  Always keep your cool. You were taken by surprise, true but that’s no excuse to behave like a lunatic and lose your poise and bearing. Do not go screaming in excitement. Stay calm and collected. If he/she happens to glance in your direction, maintain eye contact, nod and give a little friendly smile. It can do wonders to your nerves. It will exude confidence too in your end which will not freak your idol out. This can give you an opportunity to make an approach without creeping him/her.

2.   Talk in the manner that you will speak to an acquaintance. She is not your sister or brother or friend or best pal. There is no reason then to ask personal questions about her family or love life. Remember that you are not a journalist either. So stop acting like you’re out to fish for some juicy news or rumors about the latest events that he or she has attended or involved in. Talk about ordinary everyday things. Avoid leaning towards discussing about the weather, politics and religion. Treat him/her like you will treat another person you meet in public.

3.   Keep it brief and sweet. The temptation to monopolize time will definitely be strong so ensure that you’re the one who ends the conversation. Create an impression that you are an avid fan but then, you totally respect his/her privacy and understand that he/she has other things to do so you will not take too much of his/her time. Ask politely if he/she’s open to have his/her picture taken with you or sign an autograph. Do not forget to express your gratitude graciously.

Ways to Getting Energized for Work

In everything we do, we need energy in order to stay focused, remain alert and be able to do normal tasks or activities with the usual effort, if not better. However, there are times when we feel like we lack something. We start looking for the motivation and strength that will lead us to a proper state of mind and give us our body’s systems the willingness to work. In the pace of living and working in the fast lane causes many to experience chronic fatigue and sometimes it would result into missing great opportunities, brings out your worst attitude and lowers your resistance to illness.

Lack of sleep and rest, unhealthy diets and lack of exercise are just some of the factors that sap our energy and leave us feeling drained. Here are some of the best ways to maintain your energy all day long. Use these some tips to motivate yourself and boost your energy levels.

Eat a nourishing breakfast before you go to work. Breakfast will increase your energy and productivity. Be sure to stop for a lunch break as well. Researchers agree that performance decreases when people haven’t given themselves enough nourishment.

Take a walk in the morning to get a bounce in your step. Fresh air and a moderate pace can clear your mind. Plus, the endorphin will give you a natural lift, which can help you cut back on caffeine.

Listen to music. Music is a powerful energy source. The next time you feel tired, turn up the volume and see what happens to your frame of mind.

Take time to fully stretch in bed in the morning. Stretch your arms, back, legs, and neck. Take a deep breath through your nose, hold it, and let it out slowly and forcefully. Stretching burns calories, helps to relax your mind, and helps your body get ready for the day.

Exercise each day. Exercise gets the blood flowing through your veins and reminds you to make healthy choices for the remainder of the day.

Get some sleep. We need 7-8 hours of sleep to be fully rested. Consistently sleeping less than 6 hours a night builds up a “sleep debt” that is hard to recover from.  Your body and mind need to refuel with a full night’s rest.

Surround yourself with positive and supportive people. Positive people will make you smile and leave you feeling good. Those who drain us, drain our energy and spirit. Get Together with high-energy, encouraging people. If you want to soar with the eagles, you can’t run with turkeys.

Look on the bright side. A generally upbeat and optimistic outlook on life will keep your energy level up. Try to look a work from different point of view. You can’t always control your circumstances, but you can control how you choose to view and respond to them.

A low-energy lifestyle leaves you with low energy. A high-energy lifestyle leaves you with lots of energy. For most people, it’s that simple. Work some of these tips into your day and you’ll be ready to get up and energize for work.

FASHION: To Splurge, Or Not To Splurge

Have you ever wondered if the stuff you are buying are sulit? Are they too expensive? Would it be better to buy the same style at tiange than in an expensive boutique? Follow me through in assessing what kinds of clothing are worthy to spend your money on and what are those that can financially compromise you.

Fashion Trends for 2014

It is natural for human beings to be attracted to different stuffs. Sometimes we tend to think that a fashionable person is someone who buys expensive clothes, jewelries, designer shoes etc. However, being fashionable doesn’t have to be equated with spending lots of money and empty pockets, it is more about how you style yourself and budget your money for clothes and trendy things that would fit your style and personality.

To Splurge:

As someone who wants to stay fashionable, I want to embrace the fact that there are clothes that are worth the extra money, for a reason that these clothes serve a higher purpose compared to others. These clothes are what we call timeless. Timeless because you can wear such outfit 3-5 times a week without being laugh at and you feel comfortable as time goes by…. My top 3 are:

1. Jeans.  Jeans are as its best when you bought the right fit and the more you use it the more smoother and comfy it becomes. Jeans was first created as protective clothing for miners and cowboys because it provides warmth and does not easily tear off. So, as we buy jeans we must not only think about how pretty we look in it but also how far/long it could last. Jeans will never go out of style and you can re-use it two to three times with out putting in the laundry. Remember, no matter what cut it jeans you have it will never be out of style, but of course it should be fit on you.

2. Jackets. Though Philippines is a tropical country, jackets should be considered as must have! One or two pairs of jackets with good quality would be enough for a person to stay fashionable in an entire year.  Jackets’ main propose is to keep you warm and protected so it is something worth an extra penny if it has a higher quality compared to others. This is also advisable for ladies who work or stay for several hours at air-conditioned places where cold air readily penetrates the skin. This would make you fashionable even inside the office or classroom.

3. Bras. This may sound funny, but yes a good pair of bra that protects a woman’s breast is a necessity. But beside the practical reasons, a right pair of bra will give a good figure whether you wear a casual shirt or dress.

Best Fashion Tips for 2014

Not To Splurge:

Fashionable clothes are actually more in the set of clothes that are not advised to splurge on. The truth is, you better have more of these clothes because you can play with them and you can give them away if you don’t like it anymore. These are dresses, shirts, and skirts.

1. Dresses. If you want to look fashionable then you should buy one. Of course you have to consider factors like age, style, mood and place where you will wear such outfit ‘coz this could make or break you if not worn properly. If you are a type of girl who wants to wear dresses I advise you to have 5 dresses or more in your closet. Why? Because it will be weird to wear the same dress twice a week and meeting the same set of people. But if you are not the dress addict kind of girl then two dresses for casual occasions will do, assuming that these occasions don’t happen every now and then of your life. The point here is, dresses are not as versatile as other clothes so it is not worth to splurge on a pair of dress. It is better to choose five pretty dresses with reasonable price than one expensive high quality dress.

2. Skirts. Skirts are like candies for ladies. A boyish girl can be transformed to a sweet lady by simply wearing a skirt. It gives a happy aura especially when they are printed with floral, aztec, pastel, and bright colors.  Most of the times ladies in the metro prefer to wear jeans because it is more practical to wear especially when commuting is a daily task. So for me, it is not something worth to be expensive.

3. Shirts with prints.   Shirts with big letters phrases, quotes, skull prints, cute and scary monsters, cartoons, your favorite artist etc. all of these belong to this category and ok I get it, prints could make you look cooler. It gives you the feeling of blending with current trends, but trust me those shirts will be soon out of style. Wherever you go, trend and style change rapidly, a dust in the wind if I may say. In addition you also need to consider the prints on your shirt before wearing it. Prints should somehow justify the reason why you are wearing it on that particular occasion or event. You can buy a lot of shirts but not buy too expensive one.

But of course, before you buy an outfit think if you can make the most out of it because if not it would be just a waste of your money.

How to Compute the 13th Month Pay in the Philippines

Christmas is here again!  For employees, this season sounds delightful. Aside from the enjoyable Christmas party and the series of vacations, the long awaiting 13th Month pay will finally land in our hands. It is clever for us  to know the computation of the thirteenth month paycheck to ensure that we are receiving the right amount of money.

So to know what must be known, the following guidelines are presented below.

A)   For an employee to be entitled for the 13th Month Pay, he/she must have worked for the employer at least one month during the calendar year.

B) How  to compute?     Section 2(a) of PD No. 851, which was issued by former president Ferdinand E. Marcos on December 16, 1975, stated that:  “thirteenth-month pay” shall mean one twelfth (1/12) of the basic salary of an employee within a calendar year..”

Based on the foregoing information, we can arrive with the following formula in computing 13th month pay:

Daily wage X Number of paid days = basic salary within a calendar year

Basic salary within a calendar year/ 12 = 13th month pay

and  the way to compute for a prorated 13th month pay if you only work several months(let’s say 4) should look like this:

Basic salary paid for 4 months/ 12 = prorated 13th month pay

C) Is 13th Month Pay taxable? Thirteenth month pay and other benefits amounting to P 30,000 and below are not subject to income tax. This means, if you receive P 40,000, the P10,000 excess is already taxable.
